Apple rolls


2 apples sliced

½ cup oat or wheat bran

1 cup whole wheat flour

Skimmed milk to make the batter

2-3 tsp zero sugar

½ tsp cardamom powder/ cinnamon powder

2-3 tsp olive oil

Salt to taste

1 cup water


Sieve flour and salt together in a bowl and add sugar. Pour milk into the bowl and fold in the mixture till it gets smooth pouring consistency. Heat a non stick pan, put a few drops of oil. Pour a ladle full of batter and spread in a circular manner inside out. Roast till both sides get brownish tinge. Make rest of the pan cakes in same manner. Heat another pan, bring water to boil and put sliced apples in water, don’t overcook; take out the apples when slightly soft, let them cool. Now sprinkle cardamom powder, cinnamon powder and a pinch of sugar. Mix in well. Keep little mixture in the centre of each pan cake, roll it and attach the ends with the help of cloves. Serve cold.
